'Classic designs with contemporary fabrics, you have indulged us in our new home. We are so pleased we chose Johnstonwalsh to guide us through the “design mist”. What you have created is a perfectly balanced look throughout the whole house and with such attention to detail.

I highly recommend the two Carol’s.'

Carol and Carol worked with me on the interior decoration and curtains for my 1950’s bungalow in the middle of winter. The whole building was being gutted so it was a real challenge to work in. They were absolutely fantastic and made the process really easy for me. They were incredibly flexible, and really went out of their way to accommodate all the changes that were happening.

The curtains are really beautifully made, and they cleverly re-used material when I suddenly changed my mind about having a curtain around the one door, when it originally was going to be around a much smaller one.

The actual decorating job could have been a nightmare – they were working on site, in winter, with builders, plumbers, electricians etc, all creating dust and mess – yet everyday I visited, they all seemed to have found a way to work together. I think this had a lot to do with Carol and Carol’s negotiating skills, and the fact that they are great at working alongside other people.

Also – they are very funny, and made me laugh a lot!

Thank you so much Carol and Carol.

"Designing & building a contemporary house in the Cotswolds wasn't easy, particularly where the interior was concerned, as most of the houses in this area are very traditional. johnstonwalsh took the pressure off, and were able to source all our design choices from soft furnishing to furniture. They were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble! We have since purchased a selection of their new wall art, which compliments our home beautifully. We will definitely use the Carols again!"

"The design brief was quite challenging for my period house and involved close liason with the listed building department of our local council right from the very start.

johnstonwalsh handled the project sensitively and came up with a very practical design converting a spare bedroom into a dressing area and en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom and knocking down a wall between a toilet and small bathroom to create a super family bathroom. They also tackled roofing problems, customised new windows and doors and changed the usage of an attic space used for storage into a wonderful bedroom and sitting room for our young teenage daughter, whilst still retaining sufficient storage space for our needs.

As a listed building the project could have been extremely stressful so I was very pleased that Carol and Carol handled all the design drawings, planning consents and building regulations so efficiently. It certainly gave me peace of mind and alleviated a lot of the strain...

Oh, and the end result? Well it is fabulous. Thank you johnstonwalsh!"

"johnstonwalsh decorated my dining room for me and I was really impressed with how quickly and carefully they worked - it really does look great!"
